The little train of La Heste is the work of only one man, who built a model representing the countryside, the towns, shopping centres, industrial parks… The common thread is a railway network on which around thirty trains run simultaneously and adjust their operating patterns automatically.

Lorries, cars and buses travel in a completely safe environment, on a network of main roads. Factory chimneys blow out their smoke. Cable cars carry skiers and hikers up to the highest resorts. Cranes unload the wagons coming from the building sites and the coal mines. Torrents come cascading down and throw themselves into the lakes where the fishermen are waiting patiently for the trout to bite. The walkers can enjoy one bank and then cross to the other over the picturesque roman bridge. In the stations, passengers walk along the platforms as they wait for their train.

In fact, the creator of the model is in the process of producing a fictional film about the little train of La Heste. Filming will begin in the next few weeks and should be completed for the end of October. The creator is also writing a book describing how his passion for model railways has stayed with him since he was 7 years old, and how he gradually built the little train of La Heste.
